About Pokhara

पोखरा उपमहानगरपालिका पोखरा उपत्यकामा अवस्थित नेपालको अत्यन्तै रमणीय स्थानको रुपमा परिचित छ । यसैले यसलाई नेपालको एक महत्वपूर्ण पर्यटकीय स्थलको रुपमा पनि लिने गरिन्छ । यहाका महत्पुर्ण स्थानहरुमा फेवाताल, महेन्द्र गूफा, पातले छाँगो, सराङ्गकोट आदि पर्द्छ्न ।

पोखरा नेपालको पश्चिमाञ्चल विकासक्षेत्रको गण्डकी अञ्चल, कास्की जिल्लामा पर्दछ । यो सहर कास्की जिल्लाको जिल्ला सदरमुकाम, गण्डकी अञ्चलको अञ्चल सदरमुकामका साथै पश्चिमाञ्चल विकासक्षेत्रको पनि सदरमुकाम हो ।

पोखरा शहर नेपालको प्रमुख शहरमध्ये एक हो। जसको फैलावट २८.२४ उत्तर देखि ८३.९९ पूर्वसम्म रहेको छ। यो कास्की जिल्लाको सदरमुकाम हो । पोखरा पश्चिमाञ्चल बिकाश क्षेत्र अन्तर्गत पर्दछ। पोखरा नेपालको प्रमुख पर्यटकिय गन्तब्य स्थलमध्ये पर्दछ । देश अनि बिदेश बाट हजाऔ पर्यटक पोखरा भ्रमण गर्न पर्द्छ्न ।

PARAGLIDING IN POKHARA

PARAGLIDING:In Nepal paragliding is mostly done from Pokhara.Many tourisrs from different countries come in Nepal for paragliding and so on.Sarangkot,one of the famous name of Pokhara from where paragliding can be easily done.It starts from sarangkot and ends at lakeside.For each of the paraglider one one pilot is provided.While doing paragliding we can take the view of diffeent places likewise:fewa lake,mt.machhapuchhare,begnas tal,world peace stupa and the whole Pokhara valley.Paragliding is also done from other parts of nepal but mostly it is famous from sarangkot.It is the main target of the foreign tourists to come in Pokhara city.

BAT CAVE

BAT CAVE

It is also a wonderful cave which is located near from Mahendra cave. In this cave many bats are hanging in the ceiling of the cave. It is not a long but very interesting. So many of the domestic and international tourists are coming to visit all day. The entering gate of the cave is large but existing gate is small so, it is difficult to exist for all.

MAHENDRA CAVE

MAHENDRA CAVE is one of the most common cave known by all nationals and foreigners. It is wonderful cave lies in north-west side of the pokhara city. We can reach there about 30 minutes in bus. We should consume about 30 to 45 minutes to visit totally. Inside of the cave there we can see the flow and falling the drops of water from the ceiling of the cave. It is a popular and famous tourism area. So you too do not miss to visit here.

VINDYAVASINI TEMPLE

 One of the most famous Hindu temple worshipped by many of the Hindus,temple of Vindyavasini lies in Pokhara city.It is only one of the tourism place which lies  in the very height of the Pokhara valley. Many of the pilgrimages of Hindus arrive here from different countries for worshipping.From here many of the places of pokhara can be observed.mainly, at the time of Mahashivratri many of the pilgrimages of Shiva can be seen praying to God Shiva.Not only in the time of different festivals but in the other days also many of the peoples of different countries can be seen there.

BARAHI TEMPLE

 Barahi temple, one of the most common and wonderful name known in all the places of all the countries of the world.It is also situated in the Pokhara valley of Nepal. Barahi temple lies in the center of the famous lake "Phewa".It is the most famous place visited by many and more domestic as well as international tourists.We should have to go on a boat to reach the temple.It takes 5 minutes hardly to reach there from the bank of the lake.Mainly in the occasion of Janani purnima many of the people come here to worship.

WORLD PEACE STUPA

WORLD PEACE STUPA, made by Chineese monks in Nepal.It also lies in top of the pokhara valley near from lakeside.It takes about 40 minutes to reach there from david's fall,Chhorepatan.It is so much big that it can be easily seen from more than half of the Pokhara city.It is also a famous and beautiful place. Many of the domestic as well as international tourists,domestic and international monks are seen  everyday in this world peace stupa.

SETI RIVER

SETI RIVER: It is one of the famous river of nepal.It is fmous because it flows through underground. It cant  be seen in some places but it is hidden in many of the places.It also makes a gorge in many places while flowing.It is also flowed by a narrow places having small breadth.It is seen in a narrow places but it is very much deep that we cant imagine also. The water of the river is white in looking.

Sarangkot

Sarangkot, one of the most tourism place which lies north west from pokhara.It is one of the beautiful place visited by most of the domestic and international tourists.It takes 45 minutes to reach to sarangkot from vindyavasini temple,Pokhara.It is the view point of lake Phewa and whole pokhara valley.Most of the tourist visit this place because paragliding can be easily done from here,the whole pokhara valley can be observed from here.It has very beautiful scenery and greenary.

Davi's Fall

  

On 31st july 1961 A.D. in the afternoon a sudden flood from Fewa Lake swept away a Swiss citizen Mrs. Devis who was having a bath with her husband beside it. She was flowed and dead.
She was recovered after a long attempt since then. It has been taken its name "Devi's Fall"
 Davi's fall is located in Chorepatan , Pokhara. It is a wonderful surprise given by nature in pokhara. It is not a simple fallen of water. It falls from surface of the land to inside of the land like licking in hole. A river automatically hides inside the surface of earth, really it makes surprise to all.
Length : 500 meters underground water flow.
Depth : 100 Feets.

Lake side

 
Nepal has several beautiful places. Among them pokhara is the one of most popular and natural beautiful place. Lake side is  the most beautiful place of Pokhara. Mainly it is a tourism area. Natural beauty with local culture makes it more graceful and attractive. So, everybody likes Pokhara and they are not missing to visit lakeside.
